The Big Why: Gravity's Origin Story

Hi, I'm Chris Garin. Let me tell you about the story of why I came up with Gravity, my content agency.

For a while I worked as a marketing virtual assistant to realtors and founders, and something kept happening. I would get on a call with someone and leave it a little stunned at how good they were. Every conversation lit me up.

There were numerous times when I would be talking to one of them and just get my mind blown by the things they shared, their experiences, the tips of the trade in their field.

And yet these same people were not seen as leaders in their field. Their content did not come close to the expertise they had spent years building.

They would publish a post on LinkedIn now and then, and even when they were speaking in a way that clearly signalled mastery, it was not resonating with anyone. It was not interesting enough.

I kept looking at these people, so good at what they do and knowing their craft so well, and thinking there had to be a way to fix this. They were the best-kept secret in their own space.

They were winning clients, but they were still chasing them. So I started asking a different question.

What if I could turn that around? What if the content did the pulling, so that instead of reaching out, they had people coming to them?

That is where Gravity comes from. Content that communicates real mastery has a gravitational pull. It brings the right people toward you.

My job is to build that pull for founders who have earned it but have never had the time to show it.

Who Gravity is For: Our Favorite Clients

I do my best work with founders who have genuinely mastered their craft and are simply not getting the recognition that mastery deserves. Brilliant, and still chasing. If that is you, we will get along.

I am less interested in working with people who lead with ego, or who assume they can talk their way through this without any real substance underneath. Gravity only works when there is something real to amplify.

How I work

I cap Gravity at a small number of founders at a time, and I do it deliberately. This is not a content mill and I do not want it to become one.

Working with me is hands-on and direct. I am the person you talk to, the person doing the thinking, and the person accountable for the work. Keeping the number low is the only way I know to keep the work good.

Before this I spent eleven years running my own agency, Partizan, which I eventually closed, and then started a podcast and YouTube channel called Brand Origins. Gravity is where all of that goes now.

If you have built something real and you are tired of being the best-kept secret in your space, I would like to hear from you. No pressure, just a conversation.
